This is a handmade product using traditional handcrafting techniques and skills, variations may therefore occur.

basalt is a stoneware body but should not be washed regularly. Over time basalt gains a natural surface patina which is lost when washed. Basalt objects benefit from handling and should be dusted with a soft lint free cloth.

Caution:

Always test cleaner on an inconspicuous area first.

Never immerse it into water as it can ruin its appearance.

Avoid using abrasive compounds and scouring pads.

Do not use a hairdryer to dry it. The excessive heat could cause it to expand and crack.
